Priory Close, Bath

This project involved a two storey extension to incorporate an enlarged kitchen, new master bedroom and a new single storey structure forming a new dining area which replaced an existing conservatory. In addition, a new double garage with a roof garden has been built adjacent to the property.   

The design approach we adopted was for the two storey extension to match the appearance of the existing property with the single storey structure being designed in a more contemporary style to contrast to the existing building and reducing the overall visual mass of the additions. The full height glazing in this part provides views towards a sloping tree lined garden, with its the oversailing roof giving solar shading.
